“Compassion in Action”

Ardra Charitable Society, formed in 2001, (Reg.No.K.451/2001) H.H. Moran Mar Baselios Mar Thoma Mathews II, Catholicos of the East and Malankara Metropolitan of the blessed memory, is the founder of Ardra. Ardra is under the direct patronage of the Catholicos of the East and Malankara Metropolitan. Ardra is a registered non-profitable charitable organization operating throughout India.

The Aim of Ardra is to work for the educational, social, cultural, spiritual, education, medical aid, job training, marriage assistance, and employment guidance and economic advancement of the marginalized people of India, irrespective of caste, creed or community.

Ardra is the charity wing of Malankara Orthodox Church. It is a movement that helps us transform our compassion and mercy into practical action, to be shown to such unfortunate people. Ardra Charitable Society is eligible to receive CSR funds from companies and all donations towards. Ardra qualify for exemption from income tax as per section 80(G) 5(VI).

”Compassion in Action” is what Ardra Charitable Society stands for. Ardra is a community committed to fulfill in its own way to help the needy , obeying the teachings of Lord, whose compassion towards suffering humanity was boundless.

2025-26 is the Silver Jubilee Year of Ardra The Jubilee year celebrations were inaugurated by Ardra’s Patron H.H. Moran Mar Baselios Mar Thoma Mathews III at Mount Horeb Ashram, in Sasthamkotta, Kerala, The ashram is home to the tomb of H.H.Moran Mar Baselios Mar Thoma Mathews II, The Catholicos of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church of the blessed memory.

Medical supplies like wheelchair, Airbed, Dialysis kits etc were also distributed there. We are expected to be thankful to our Lord for all blessings we receive not just through our good deeds alone, but through our compassionate dealings and merciful approaches to those who are denied of such good experiences.

With much gratitude we state that during the past 25 years of Ardra Charitable Society’s work we served the needy people by providing Full financial support for 25 nursing students to complete their studies.
